Note: You must be a student of SH Extensions Education to enter this category. 

The next generation of talent is rising, and this category celebrates the most promising new stylists in the industry. Whether you’re a newly launched business or an emerging stylist who’s made waves in the hair extension world, this is your chance to shine. Five talented individuals from each educator's student cohort will be awarded Rising Star of the Year. We’re on the lookout for creativity, ambition, and passion.

How to apply:

1. To apply for this category, you will receive a workbook to complete with images of your with, and have to submit a before and after video. 

2. Select 'Add to cart' and enter your details at check out to receive the workbook and instructions for this category.

3. Follow the workbook provided upon checkout for detailed guidelines on the images required to complete your submission. Remember to also capture videos, as it’s mandatory to submit a 60-90 second video explaining the steps and processes you followed to achieve your final look. If your submission is successful, this video will be showcased on the main screen during the event.

Please make sure you have a Canva account before applying.

In the submission you'll be asked to submit:
1. Your hair portfolio
2. Client testimonials
3. A brief video up to 2 minutes long explaining your journey and goals

How category is judged:

• Quality of Work: Look at the precision and technique in their hair extension applications, including blending, colour matching, and overall style.
  
  
• ​​Career Progression: Consider how much the applicant has developed in a short time, looking at their trajectory and how they’ve advanced in the hair extension industry.
  
  
• Testimonials: Collect feedback from their clients or peers, focusing on satisfaction, client experience, and customer loyalty.
  
  
• Online Presence: Evaluate how they use platforms like Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube to showcase their work. This includes engagement, content quality, and influence on the community.
  
  
• Networking and Collaboration: Consider how involved they are in industry events, collaboration with other professionals, or participation in online forums.
  
  
• Mentorship or Outreach: Bonus points for those who mentor others or contribute to the growth of the industry through education or community outreach.
  
  
• Vision: Get insight into their goals and ambitions for their career. Are they planning to innovate, expand, or influence the future of the hair extension industry?
