OUR MISSION

Our Mission is to create an Australia-wide event that recognises and celebrates the talent, dedication, and innovation within the hair extension industry. By bringing the community together in a fun, empowering, and stylish atmosphere, the event aims to build connections, inspire growth, and uplift professionals through recognition, networking opportunities, and a shared celebration of excellence. The night is designed to honour both up and coming and established industry leaders while highlighting the creativity and craftsmanship that drives the hair extension world forward.

Can I nominate myself or my business for an award?

YES! This is the time to celebrate your wins & enter yourself into maximum 3 x categories!

How do I apply for the categories?

1. Head to our Awards Categories page and see which categories and best suited to you.

2. Click 'apply now' on the category of interest

3. Select 'Add to cart' and checkout (it's free to enter!) You will then recieve an email with step by step instructions on how to upload your assessment onto your virtual workbook.

Can I apply for more than one category?

Yes! You can apply for a maximum of 3 categories.

How much industry experience do I need to come to the event?

No minimum industry experience is needed. This is an event to bring us all together, regardless of our industry experience. This event is where all ego is removed, and is designed to inspire & educate through celebration & recognition.

How will the winners be chosen?

There is a panel of 5 elite industry leaders as your judges. Each judge will be responsible for judging their own category in their speciality expertise, with some remaining categories to be judged collectively.

Each judge will also have a category of their own to recognise the efforts & achievements of their own students success.

Will there be opportunities to meet the judges?

Absolutely! We can't wait to meet you!

What is the refund policy if I can no longer attend?

Unfortunately, there are no refunds on tickets. You can attempt to sell them on to other students within the community.

Are there special hotel rates for event attendees?

Yes! Stay at the Novotel Twin Waters and mention that you are a guest at our event and receive exclusive pricing!

What are the best travel options to get to the venue?

Uber or taxis or Car hire :)

Buses are also available on the Sunshine Coast. Check if there are buses running through your area through the Translink journey planner here.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Yes! The Novotel has tones of parking and also wheel chair access.

I have a dietary requirement, is there dining options for me?

Absolutely - please let us know prior too so we can cater for you!

Will there be photography and videography at the event?

We will have full media coverage on the night, radio hosts, MCs, and some fun paparazzi ! Wear your finest outfits & get ready for a night you won't forget!

What is the dress code for the event?

Think OSCARS! Red carpet, cocktail theme! Your finest outfits PLEASE

Is the event open to all, or just professionals in the hair extension industry?

This event is open to all hair extension technicians & their team / partners.

Can I come along without applying for an award?

Absolutely! I hope to see you there. Its a great night for networking and reigniting your motivation.

What will I have to submit to register?

Registrations will require specific photos of your installs for the category you are applying for. It will also require a 60-90 second video demonstrating your install & how you did it. This video will play on the big screen if you become a semi / finalist.

This aligns with THE Awards vision, to help increase industry standards & educate fellow technicians through recognition & celebration.

How long do I have to enter?

Registrations open November 5th & close March 17th!

How will I know if im a semi finalist?

Registrations close on March 17th with roughly 4 weeks allocated to judge. You will be contacted and advised of your achievements & will be required to attend to receive your award.
